In response to my blog post dated
28 April 2007...
Boon Lay extension launch on 28/2Boon Lay extension which consists of 2 stations namely Pioneer & Joo Koon, will be opened to public on 28 Feb 2009 (Saturday). Hopefully, they resolve the crowdness of Boon Lay station. Yea, it is extremely crowded during the evening peak hour where all passengers alight from the fully packed trains. Probably during the morning peak hour as well. During non-peak hours, it is also quite crowded. *faint*
Next time, when I head to Mh's house, I'll be alighting at Pioneer station instead. Walking distance from Pionner is shorter than walking distance from Boon Lay.
(But then, graduating from SP soon... no more chance?)
Circle Line (Stage 3) launch on 30/55 stations including 2 existing stations will be ready on 30 May 2009. 5 stations: Marymount, Bishan, Lorong Chuan, Serangoon, Bartley.
If they launch all the way to Paya Lebar, that will be a shorter route to Pasir Ris by MRT. xD
Jurong East additional platform construction2 points up, I mentioned about the crowded Boon Lay station. Now this point, the crowded Jurong East station, especially the middle platform during evening peak hours. Sometimes I have to take the 3rd train because the 1st 2 trains are either fully packed or terminating at Yew Tee. That was during my Year 1 & 2 poly experience. This year, I will rarely experience it because:
- Stay in school till quite late for FYP Phrase 1
- Accompany Mh till late evening where Jurong East is not so crowded
Self-solution to avoid the Jurong East crowd. lol~
But since they announced that there will be an additional platform at Jurong East by 2011, how will it look like? Reported in LianHeZaoBao, there will be 2 platforms for North-South Line. By then, I don't think I will be travelling via Jurong East often liao.
Same as 1st point... "But then, graduating from SP soon... no more chance?"
Wait a second, how do they perform the construction without disrupting the existing train services? O_O
