MapleSEA v0.76 Wonderfool patch

Nice 1 sia.
I downloaded the patch as the link is provided in the website.
Since the link is there in the offical website, obviously I will download and install it.
6.81MB, I install... no problem.
Send Jenny the file as per requested.
Service up, I still can't access. Keep tio HackShield Error 805306416.
Neither she can access. Same error.

Inform the Operation Manager (OM).
Then I click the download link again.
What!? 6.31MB liao?
OM told me 6.31MB is the correct file.
zzz?

Wonderfool job sia.

I think next time I download and don't install. Let other people install and tell the result. Sian 1/2.
Lucky thing is... I got backup setup and patch files, if not... totally sian.

Level 200 Day

28 June 2009
Headed to JP from AMK Hub.
Waited for her until hungry sia. =X
Somehow she read my mind. Or just happen to let me try out new stuff? O_O?

While going ZoneX, saw "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" poster. It will open from 16 July 2009. Cool.
Play Hana... 1st try failed. zzzz!~
Try 2nd round... passed by 2 bars with 40 miss. -.-"
Sibeh risky sia.

Then play this so-called "谋杀之歌" in 魔王 mode.
Tio owned very badly. LOL!

Before heading home, I went to Orchid Bowl @ Yishun SAFRA.
Jun Long (a maple friend of mine) happened to be there.
lol sia~
When he goes to Yishun from Jurong West, I go from AMK to Jurong West.
When I reached Yishun SAFRA, he has yet to finish the game with his CCA mates.
Talk awhile before going home to Level Up my character to Slack Club.

So here it is, at 10.40pm.

Sometimes, it is good to understand other people.
Some people cannot witness my max level because of:
- The new start of School Term on the next day, thus they have to sleep early.
- They are still outside.

Sometimes, it is just hard to find a more suitable timing.

Race against time

27 June 2009
Journey started at Yishun GV, to catch a movie with Jenny called "Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen"
That's the only cinema with quite a lot of back seats.
Other cinemas already full like )*&#%(*&%&#(*%#%^
Yishun GV was our last resort because:
- As mentioned earlier, other cinemas already full like hell
- Also convenient to proceed next destination by bus

The show started at 3.20pm.
I managed to buy a pair of ticket at 2.05pm, it is at the 5th row from the back at the side.
I went to have a plate of Steam Chicken Rice.
Walked to the mini-exhibition about the future Yishun.
Something like mini-JP??? o_O

Upon her arrival, she wanted to go Arcade.
Sorry ah, currently NP1 cannot link with NP2 at Level 2 & 3. Must walk thru Level 1 to get to another side.
Timezone you see now is nice, because it is shifted from 4th to 3rd floor mah. Everything looks very new.
Headed back to cinema.
Sorry ah, NP1/NP2 doesn't link with GV unlike JP1/JP2. =X

Reach cinema at 3.38pm.
Show started 3 minutes ago after 15-minute commercial. -.-"
Lucky 3 minutes, if not... GG.
Vehicles being transformed into robots and vice versa in just a few seconds!
I wonder if I can spot who are the goods, and who are the bads.
The battle is to finish off The Fallen.
Apparently, the ending... it seems that there will be Part 3 because Starscream and Megatron retreated.
What are they going to do after retreating?

2.5 hours inside this warm cinema. Probably too many people also, since humans produce heat too.
Took bus 39 to Pasir Ris, then transfer to bus 89 after making 2nd exit of the expressway.
She thought we arrive at a strange place. -.-"
"This is Pasir Ris already."
*stun*
And hor, imagine I have to keep a lookout for bus 89 while playing Taiko PSP with her at the same time? =.=
Luckily it arrived after ending the game sia.
Soon after, we arrived Downtown East.
Faster than MRT, right? *F3*

This is what happening during the gathering.

For your safety, please do not play with fire when BBQ-ing food. =X

If you are hungry, help yourself with the food. =X

So there's Taiko Wii.
Few rounds hand-on before heading home.
Unfortunately, instead of heading home... we head to Arcade.
Heard from Gias... last train 11.45pm.
By the time we finish the game, the last train going depart sia.
Increase walking speed.
Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, it is 11.52pm.
And there's no more train service.
The last train departs at 11.24pm, and not 11.45pm.
Jenny & Gias stay at the West, no hope for MRT.
But there's hope for me... by bus.
The bus departs from Tampines.
So by the time it arrives Pasir Ris, it should be around 11.50pm assuming the bus departs from Tampines at 11.30pm.
Upon arrival at the bus stop, it stated that the last bus departs at 11.54pm.
Checks the time... it's 11.54pm!!!
Dang, will I be joining their boat too?
Lucky sia... the bus arrived!!!

So I have no more worries.
But they... pray there's a train to Kranji when arriving at Khatib, since that's the bus stop I'm gonna alight too.
Lucky sia, 12.25am when we arrived. The last train to Kranji at 12.33am.

For the past 20 years, I guess this is the most rush. Must chiong to catch last bus sia.

Since I also need to $$$ to watch Transformer2 & go BBQ with Jenny today. =X

Yesterday, went 2 places - Alexandra Hospital & Jurong West.
The last stop is at Jurong West. Hoho!
Go to customer's house, get Oxygen Tank... then go Shipyard top up Oxygen.
Shipyard, eh... a place which I never been before.
It's near Jurong West anyway.

A lot of tanks!!! Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen, etc etc etc...
Then return to the house.

End of task.
Happen to end at Jurong West.
Find Jenny, who was happened to be alone at home.
Is it fated or what?
This was mentioned in the bus while going to JP together.
Play her Night Walker... cool.

So the word "fated" is mentioned.
Mentioned about scrolling of Maple Leaf mah.
If it is yours, is yours.
Since it is still early, go Arcade but...
- Top-up queue long
- Taiko got people playing

LOL! Fated lo... no need play liao, go work.

I go back Arcade again.
This time round, I use this to play.

Still can pass songs which I usually play wor?
Hana, this song ah... still passed by 1 bar yesterday.
Result:
240 Perfect
134 Good
44 Miss
Score 393,550

Compare to this...

Like no difference sia.

Ok... blog till here.
Now rush off to buy a pair of Movie Tickets before the hot seats are taken.

The same as 22 June 2009.

24 June 2009
This time round, due to electricity disruption for an hour in the afternoon & no party training... I was out of house since 12.15pm.
Whole day raining sia.

At first, I planned to find tbk, who is working in SP.
Due to last minute meeting, I have to change my plan.

Jenny told me about ZoneX Top $20 + Free $20 from opening to 1pm at all outlets except Eastpoint.
Then I go AMK Hub lor, the nearest outlet from my house.
Walked around AMK Central liao, then I remembered something.

I headed to Sembawang Shopping Centre.

A pair of roller pin.

But definitely, not going to affect evening party.
Just train about an hour, and that's it. xD

Whether I'll be going JP or not... is still unknown.

27 June 2009
There's a possibility of watching Transformer2 with Jenny right before Taiko BBQ/Chalet. Guess I have to check the timeslots available for all cinemas.

Up next, the Taiko BBQ/Chalet. A celebration for the team members who made it to the Finals, as top 4? Hmmm...

On this day too, I'm gonna slack Maple. xD
Level 200 will not occur on this day, although my EXP will be 99.9x%.

28 June 2009
Current plan at this time of post:
- Find Jenny in the afternoon
- Blah blah blah
- Go home, hit Level 200

That's all about the summary.

18-hour "Outing Marathon" on 20/6: Part 2 - Before Drumzout

So I took MRT from AMK to Pioneer.
At the same time, continuing Phone Conversation with Victor.
By the time it ends, I was at Woodlands.
Upon arrival at Pioneer, I slack at Pioneer Mall foodcourt - Koufu.
Drag time, till 12pm.
Of course, drinking Water Chestnut.
Jenny's arrival tio delayed.
Then bo bian, walk around the mall.
Took a free copy of newspaper.

Victor called again.
Wah, nice timing sia.
Can kill time while waiting for her. Muahaha!
Waited for her downstair.
Then I remembered the newspaper I took earlier on.
And the pen which I had not took out since the day I went to Asiasoft closed-door MapleStory Feedback session.
*Sudoku-ing*

Thought can finish the puzzle before she arrived.
I only completed 1/3 of the 5-star puzzle nia, then she arrived liao.
Took a bus to JP.
257 arrived, but can't board. Back door spoil.
Took the next bus 243.

What's the noise when we arrived at JP?

Samba Masala... using Percussion instrument to produce a sound.
Cool huh?
More about Percussion Instrument, read it here.

Lunch at Subway JP before Arcade.
Then took MRT down to HarbourFront.
Drumzout performance at Vivocity Amphitheatre.
Something which caught our attention.

Looks familiar?

(Picture taken from Samba Masala facebook)
Our thoughts, "Is Singapore really that small?" o.O

To the Amphithreatre.
Found Yuu, Brandon, Yimin, Skyne... ...
Announcement was made.
Goodie bags can be collected.
Within 1-minute, check out the queue.

At this point of time, Jenny was trying to block sunshine? O_O?
Bleh, check out this Goodie Bag.

"I love Mon(k)ey"
Money Monkey???

What's inside?

Looks like it consists of more junkies than goodies?

18-hour "Outing Marathon" on 20/6: Part 1 - Delivery helpout

Continue from blogpost Delivery helpout on 19/6.

That was posted at 1.14am.
I only slept at about 2am.
Woke up at 5.30am.
Took a bath since I'll be out of house for more than personal record 15 hours?
Step out of house at 6am.
Collect the goods at AMK, to be delivered to Waterfront Plaza.
Then somehow father drove wrong direction, and found Tiong Bahru food centre.
Went there for breakfast.

By the time finish breakfast, it's already 9.10am.
No intention of going home, then out again.
A bit troublesome, rest at home for less than hour nia?
Might as well, walk around although nothing to see.
Dropped me at AMK.
I go walk around there.

Then I realised that I may not have enough water to last the whole day.
Bought a bottle of 500ml Mineral Water & Tic-Tac.
At the same time, a phone call from Victor.
Good way to kill my time since I have to travel all the way from AMK to Pioneer.
It's about guild reformation.

That's all about Part 1 of Outing Marathon.
Wondering what is the picture below about? Check it out in the next (or next next) post. (:

Q&A Session: Nexon Trio vs Maplers

Maplers, have you had sleepless nights over bugs, features and other issues in MapleStory? About the possibility of new worlds, marriage feature, character migration, user GMs, in-game events and other burning questions just waiting for someone to answer them.

You know what they say about wishes, “Be careful what you wish for, it may just come true.” It certainly did, at least for the lucky group of lucky Maplers invited to this closed-door Q&A session this morning with three of the MapleStory game developers from Nexon Corporation – Jun Choi, Niki Yoo and James Bae.

From left to right: James Bae, Niki Yoo & Jun Choi

Kicking off the Q&A session with the introduction of the Nexon party of three, we find out that the MapleSEA team in Nexon consists of six persons, with the other three members in Korea presently. And Jun Choi is the person in charge (and the one you should direct your complaints at…)

The marriage feature was thrusted into the spotlight at once, with one of the Maplers wanting to know if more benefits would be implemented apart from the special wedding rings and Amoria Party Quest.

The throwing of questions at the poor developers came fast and furious, with many of the Maplers all wanting to have their say in the bugs, features and issues they encountered in the game. However, Jun and his team gamely answered most of the questions. Most of the time, Jun cracked his attentive audience into loud crackles of laughter with his unique sense of humour.

Some highlights of the Q&A are as follows:

Q: Are there going to be additional features added for getting married in MapleStory?

A: We did consider adding other benefits like party boost, and even having a baby added into the game. There are many other ideas that we are currently toying around. Once we have confirmed them, you can look forward to seeing them in the game.

Someone mentioned about the Family System gives too much benefit. As good as free cash items (VIP Teleport Rock, 2x EXP & Twin coupon). Jun joked, we will remove Family System in the next patch.

Q: Have you considered adding User GMs to the game?

A: The role of GMs in the game is to ‘police’ and monitor hackers and other illegal activities in the game. They also need to be strict and stand firm when dealing with them. User GM is a role that we are currently looking into, and we will certainly be looking to implement it if the need arises.

Q: Lag and disconnection is a big problem in the game, especially when there are server checks or new patch releases. Is there any way to improve on this?

A: We acknowledge and apologise for the disruptions in gameplay but do rest assured that we are doing our best in investigating and resolving the lag and disconnection problem as soon as possible. One solution that we have implemented for the release of Episode 2 was allowing players to download the patch a week in advance. Hence, we avoid the situation of too many Maplers downloading the patch at the same time and causing lag and disconnection.

Q: Why are some job classes better than the rest? Are they meant to be this way?

A: We have been asked questions about the apparent disparity of the different job class right from day one. Most of the maps are best played with participation by the different job classes working as a group. Certain job classes do better in some maps while other job classes perform better in particular maps. With each patch and update, we usually address this issue of re-balancing the job class to make the game more enjoyable for all.

Q: Are there going to be any more new worlds implemented in the game?

A: We do have plans for new worlds in both Singapore and Malaysia. We hope to encourage more players into the game by having exclusive events and forming of new community for the new world.

Q: Will we be able to migrate the characters to the new worlds?

A: To keep the balance in the new world, everyone will be starting from scratch. However, we are thinking about a character transfer system with certain policies that will allow players to keep their characters while maintaining balance in the new world.

Q: How can you ensure that new patches in the future would not magically revive fixed bugs from previous patches?

A: Simple, we can’t. Haha… As with all new patches, we migrate all the data from the Korean Maple server and pass it to Asiasoft where they will thoroughly test out all aspects of the game. However, with every new patch released, some previously fixed bugs may get revived or transferred back into the game. Unfortunately, this is something we cannot control. What we can do is to ensure that we test out each patch to the best of our ability and minimize the chances of this happening.

After two hours of fast, straight-talking action from both the Nexon trio and Maplers, the session was reluctantly brought to an end. Of course, apart from the never-ending supply of curry puffs, spring rolls and soya bean drinks to keep our Maplers happy, the Nexon team brought along exclusive Maple Story goodies for them.

Don’t worry if you were not one of the lucky few this time, maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones next time Jun and team drops by again. In the meantime, continue playing MapleSEA!

Scroll down for photos of the session

Maplers waiting eagerly for the start of the Q&A session
Why I see familiar faces in this picture? *coughs* Especially the front row, all seats.

The Nexon Trio arrives!

Whoa!

Guess the Map Jun drew

Having a laugh…
That's why we introduce this particular Cash Items.

Students, pay attention!

And this is how I caught the monster…
Catch Wild Cargo like Pokemon style???

Trawling through the treasure bag

Hmm….why isn’t this sold in shops?

Is there going to be a 5th job class?
I suppose they will be doing further developments.

We’ll be back…

Trip to AsiaSoft office

18 June 2009
Purpose? Q&A Session for MapleStory Episode 2. Gathering feedbacks & suggestions... and the complains too. All the jokes we hear.
What can I say? Probably you have to refer to the next post of this blog or PlayPark.NET. Bleh, I shall copy it over in the next post.

Starting off...
Leave house at 6.45am to meet Victor at Woodlands, 7.15am.
Took a bus to Tampines, reaching at about 8.15am.
Head to Tampines Mall McDonald's, waiting for Peter before starting the breakfast.
Meeting point is at Tampines MRT for this session.
Operation Manager brought us to their new office.
Well, other selected members too.

Inside the meeting room, quite a number of people occupied the back seats.
Left the frount & middle seats.
We took the front seat.
Itchy hand leh... took 1 picture.

During the session, I start to feel that the person who sit at the other end of my seat... looks like DragonicKS sia.
After the session, I straight chiong to him and ask...
By any chance, are you DragonicKS?
OMG lar!!!
Then beside him, he's PurificatorX.
It is like ex-Crusades occupying the front row of seats.
Oh ya... I will be using ex-Crusades for now.

Then go somewhere else slack.
Talking about new guild formation.
If you notice my recent Ranting posts, you should know.
So it comes to a conclusion that:
Ex-c3 will be reformed before 28 June 2009, together with Spirit.

Nice nice. Then on 28 June 2009, got new beginning to start with. *hints*

That's all about Max Level stuff. And last night, managed to get Red Belt. ^^
