It is obviously unfair that SMRT and SBS charge polytechnic students adult fares while JC students only pay 45cents per trip. Are we not of the same age as JC students? Do we NOT travel as much as JC students do? Are our families any better off than theirs? The general answer is NO, Polytechnic students are in fact just average students. Yes, there are elder students who are already working and capable of supporting themselves, but they still hold a very much smaller percentage as compared to the young students fresh from secondary school. I do believe SMRT and SBS are smart enough to not make decisions based on stereotyping thinking, and i certainly do believe that they are capable of being fair and unbiased, so i take it this fare difference was due to negligence in decision discussion and making. A higher fare would very directly affect the students' moods about school, discouraging students from poorer families to continue with their studies. This could impact the Singaporean economy as the majority of people studying go to polytechnics after their O levels, and a high fare would discourage workers from coming back to polytechnics to upgrade themselves.
Good point. Why are we, as a Polytechnic students, paying much more transport fares than ITE/JC students? Aren't we a student even though there are some adults in Polytechnics as well? Should they group the Polytechnic students such that: - If you are aged xx, you will be paying Fare A. - If you are aged yy, you will be paying Fare B.
Thanks to the recent Server Check, the lag seems to reduce a lot. This makes gaming experience even better. As a result, it had concluded smoothly today. After 8 long months (for some people)... 2x EXP, massive latency, HornTail hackers... we had all experienced during the battles. All the fun we had, the time we sacrificed, and the sufferings. At least ELIT assignment easy clear. Therefore, more time for FYP??? Why easy? It is about gaming! The gaming environment. LOL!!!~~~ Well, that's part of the ELIT Assignment 1. =X

So maybe next time, when we were told to meet at a certain timing, we have to arrive at least 30 minutes later. =X Then I was wondering: - They (Jiang & Xin) took MRT from Toa Payoh to Dover. 15 stops. Arrived at 1045HRS. - I took MRT from Khatib to Dover. 14 stops. Arrived at 1015HRS due to train service delay at CCK.
Hmmm... what are they doing during their journey? Fishy? =X They keep saying me & MH. So how about Jiang & Xin???? ^^
In a earlier press statement on public holidays for 2008, the Ministry of Manpower announced that Deepavali would fall on 28 October 2008 (Tuesday). However, the date needed to be checked against the Indian Almanacs when they became available.
The actual Deepavali date for 2008 is now known. It will fall on 27 October 2008 (Monday) instead of 28 October 2008 (Tuesday).
Well, I believe some people will still think that Deepavali falls on 28 October 2008. lol~ Nah, it will be on 27 October 2008.
1 week past. Back to the campus, I was like... wow, 1 semester not in school, it changes quite a lot. O_O Some of the changes:

1st day of school (13 Oct) The f***-ing timetable. 1st lesson is FYP, starting at 8am. kns lar... waited inside LT17B like a dummy. No teacher, all zhao. So from 0830HRS to 1400HRS, do what sia? Hang around campus, play around.
14 Oct Now, we know that FYP is own time own target, DIY... my group decided not to go for FYP at LT17B on this day. Reason: It will be the same for the rest of the days. The supervisor (aka Lecturer) will only meet us at least once per week, but not sure when.
Other than this FYP, normal lessons attended. 1st week slack lar, nothing much de. Lessons ended, looking forward Wednesday... 3 hours nia from 0830HRS to 1130HRS but sian lar, earlier in the morning received a SMS message from lecturer saying: "Hi please attend Mobile Technology Day on Wednesday 15 oct 2008 at 3.15pm at MLT12. Attendence is COMPULSORY. Thanks!"

15 Oct During my journey to school, I was thinking what am I going to do from 1130HRS to 1515HRS. zzzz... nothing to do leh. Suddenly, I thought of calling my ex-schoolmate (Xue) for lunch since her attachment place is somewhere near my school. It is just 2 MRT stops away. ^^ Long time no see already. The last time I met her was during ex-classmate Chalet around March 2007? (If I recall correctly)
So I meet her at Jurong Entertainment Centre (outside KFC/Macdonald's) around 1210HRS. What the f lar, my lesson supposed to end at 1130HRS, it ends at 1030HRS due to some technical faults. Now even longer hours of break. A short chat with her in MSN.
Next, I head to the Attachment noticeboard to see who kena my attachment company - Idealsoft. OMG lar, out of the 3 ppl, I know 2 of them as they were my ex-classmates - Fiona & Alica. Alica is also staying at the same estate as me. GG to her if she takes a bus to Ubi. Wakakakaka!!!!
Imagine they kena Finance Department when they start their attachment tomorrow. I think they will kena ask by those employees there. Employee S: "Where you two stay at?" Fiona: "Toa Payoh" Alica: "Yishun" Employee S: "Wow... another student from Toa Payoh" Employee L: "Wah... Yishun again!" Wondering what's their reaction. lol~
Anyway, cut those craps. My next stop is to head to Finance Department before meeting Xue, so just nice... 1210HRS reached there, waiting for her. Now she had arrived. Still cheerful looking? =) Only hair changed. Not straight liao... is that her natural hair?? o_O Bleh... lunch 1st. Sharing our attachment experiences.
After lunch, it's time for her to return back to her workplace. Thus, I headed back to school. By then I returned back to campus, it was only 1310HRS. Headed to the Main Library to print out my stuff. Eh, how am I going to collect my Printouts? Hmmm... nvm, anyhow try, anyhow press. Whoa! My printouts!!!! Am I a genius? *Thick-skinned*
Then I headed to Basketball Court to find my classmates. By then, they had finished their play. Crapping at FC5 with ex-classmates who will be going for their attachment soon before heading back to MLT12.
1515HRS. All we have to do is... wait and wait. By the time it starts, it's 1540HRS. What's it about? Handphones, anthena, network... sibeh sian!!!!~~ I even purposely go toilet & buy something to eat. Then suddenly, this MH call me to go up. Dunno wad is it about... but must be Idealsoft stuff lar.
So I go up with her. lol~... really it is that stuff which Fiona & Alica wanted to know. Relax leh, the only thing need to suffer is the traffic jam especially coming from Yishun by bus. Summarising the stuff which I had done during my attachment there. And that's it.
By then, the Talk is about to end as well. Once it ended, go home liao.
16 Oct Nothing much here. We started the FYP in the main library. Supposed to meet at Dover, 9am. In the end... - Jasper arrived at about 0858HRS - I arrived at about 0904HRS - MH arrived at about 0909HRS eh... 1 train interval ah???
I was told by Xin that she and Jiang will be late. So we headed to Main Library 1st. Do what? Nothing! =) By the time Xin and Jiang arrived, it's already 10am. We needed to eat lunch too. To avoid the crowd, we decided to end FYP stuff at about 11.30am.
17 Oct Linux adminstration... the 1st practical class in the morning. Since it ended early, we headed to FC6 for lunch. Oh yea, this Chicken Rice stall... I long time never eat already. Still the same taste.
After that FYP again. But, again... almost doing nothing. Majority of the time is slacking and playing. lol~ I think we need to de-stress sia. =X
