A leap year (or intercalary year) is a year containing one or more extra days (or, in case of lunisolar calendars, an extra month) in order to keep the calendar year synchronised with the astronomical or seasonal year. The day had finally arrived. Zakum LIVE, I see still sian le (though I nv c Zakum collapsed). This time round, HornTail LIVE. I finally got a chance to see maplers whacking HornTail at Krislan. Wondering how I know? That's because my guild master told me they will be there (about 10 of them). They actually do not mind people watching them in their HornTail Expedition. Common Sense rule: Do not disturb them un-necessary. HornTail is deadly. Maybe you can help them by informing whether they kena dispelled or not.
On 23 Feb 2008, I asked my in-game buddy (Ben) whether he wants to see HornTail battle at Krislan or not. Finally, he agreed with me at around 8pm+. You guys should have a good look at Cassiopedia and Delphinus. How organised are they? It is way 1000x MORE ORGANISED than Aquila. If I'm in Delphinus, I confirm dio helm bcuz my real life lobangs are there. Why can't Aquila be like this? The only big boss that is currently organised for Aquila is HornTail. SINGAPORE - Singapore erupted in celebration on Thursday after winning the right to host the inaugural Youth Olympics in 2010, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong calling it a new era for Southeast Asian sport.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the Games to the city-state ahead of Moscow by a vote of 53 to 44. It will be the first time that Singapore is hosting a multi-disciplinary sporting event of such a magnitude.
"Friends and fellow Singaporeans, congratulations to all of us," said Mr Lee in front of thousands of cheering supporters wearing red and white, the colours of the national flag.
"It is a great honour and privilege for all of us. It will be the first time that the Olympic flame will be in Southeast Asia and in Singapore.
"We will be the focus of a new era for sporting development for Southeast Asia and Singapore. We worked very hard, it was a national effort, but more than that it was a people effort."
Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth, and Sports, called it "an historic day".
"By choosing Singapore, the IOC has declared that it is possible for small young cities like Singapore to host the Olympic movement," he said.
"On Friday, the hard work begins. I know we will succeed because every Singaporean will go all out to welcome the youth of the world to Singapore in 2010."
Moscow had Russian President Vladimir Putin in its corner, far deeper pockets than Singapore in terms of budget, and long-standing ties with the IOC on its side. But Singapore played its size-is-not-everything card to perfection.
A huge buzz has been generated among Singaporeans, with people from all backgrounds in the nation of 4.5 million people supporting the bid.
Online, they have shown their backing by blogging, chatting on forums, posting videos and setting up websites. And more than 550 companies publicly backed the bid.
The brainchild of IOC chief Jacques Rogge, the Youth Olympics will feature traditional sports such as athletics and swimming, and also some innovative events such as beach-wrestling and BMX bike riding.
Rogge made the announcement himself from the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, ending a process that originally started with nine cities in contention. This was whittled down to Athens, Bangkok, Turin, Singapore and Moscow before it became a two-horse race.
"This is a key moment for the Olympic movement," said Rogge. "Singapore has put together a very exciting project. Hosting the Youth Olympic Games for the first time is a great responsibility, and I have every confidence in the team in Singapore.
"I have no doubt that their professionalism and enthusiasm will be instrumental in the staging of a successful Youth Olympic Games in 2010."
The Games will see 3,500 athletes, aged between 14 and 18, competing in 26 sports.
Singapore is proposing 24 venues, with four being built as temporary facilities, including one large cluster of 13 facilities in its Marina-Kallang area.
The Youth Olympic Village will be located at a new multi-million-dollar student residential complex at the National University of Singapore, slated for completion months before the event.
Singapore is budgeting US$75.5 million to run the Olympics, covering everything from educational and cultural programmes to development of services and transport. The Games will run from August 14-16. - AFP/ir

Yet to confirm with them at that point of time (around 1pm+ today) but haiz... after an incident that happened this afternoon, looks like it is gonna be a 95% chance that I will NOT go. Day 1 (7 Feb) Since my grandma passed away 3 months ago, her children are not allowed to give AngPao thus a sharp decrease in the number of AngPao collected. Some kind of Chinese traditions, hmmm... Since there aren't many people there, my family members went off early. lol, record early: 1pm. Went to a Buddhist Temple in SengKang, then went home. My father's friends will be coming at night, and that's the time lots of craps arrive.
Day 2 (8 Feb) Thought there will be some gamble here. In the end, zzz... For unknown reason, that "blackjack boss" does not want to gamble this year. Looks like she has something very against someone. It ended up my WHOLE family members gamble and some of my mother's siblings as well. Total earning in BlackJack: -$1. zzzz... lowest record loss.
Day 3 (9 Feb) Went to Sentosa Flowers 2008. This time round, we went near the evening period. Travel to VivoCity by my father's car. Surprisingly, it is MUCH crowded than last year. Wa, business so good le? But reach at the event area, went to explore around... zzz... it is worse than last year. Last year display is nice, but this year... speechless.
By the time we explored around and headed back to VivoCity, it is already 8pm+. Stomach empty, of course it is rush to foodcourt and fill our stomach. But, zzz... so crowded, thought that we will not be able to find any available seat, surprisingly, the moment we stepped right at the doorstep of foodcourt, wah, got 1 group of family member left, yes... got seat le, rush and grab it before it is gone. ^.^
That's not all when dinner is finished. Headed back to carpark, father started the engine. zzz... wth... vehicle breakdown? =.= For the past 30 minutes, the engine doesn't seem to start. It is only back on track after we left the vehicle, top-up father's cashcard and walk back to VivoCity. zzz rite? If it still doesn't start, hmmm... call TowTruck and I go home by MRT? haha... I always got Ez-link card with me, unlike my brother... zzz... always never bring. What if 1 day such incident happens again? Count him lucky this time round...
